this seems to be out of step with what is bieng done today. there are 4 or 5 major manufacturers who are entering production for solid state batteries, useing significantly different designs and technology.
The main thing in evaluating battery claims of failure or success is to remember how LARGE the stakes are, which is everything, the worlds whole economy,and this is what drives the research into new battrie technology, and funds the fight to deny,dispute, and delay it's adoption, hey hey!

Does not describe a way to prevent it, so solid-state batteries don't seem like a realistic product for now.

Every lithium battery in use today is susceptible to dendrites. One of the promises of solid state batteries is more safety, not less.

till now I was under the impression, that that was the advantage of solid electrolytes: preventing the dendrites in the first place (being a natural barrier to build dendrites).
